i know this game is not (and probably wont) be listed here, due to permissions/copy-right etc:

But what i would like to know is; has anyone found a working copy online (either downloadable or *play-in-browser* that lets you save the game)?

I am running windows 7 ultimate (64) and every copy i have tried said *this program does not work with this version of windows, please make sure you are using the correct version (64-bit) and contact the publisher...* etc

Please either pm me, or write here

Thanks in advance

Albion was a DOS game from what I can find, so DOSBox should take care of compatibility issues. Not sure though, since I don't have a copy of it to test it.
Albion is an MS-DOS game, you need to download DOSBox to run it.
Albion was a good game, reminded me of Amiga titles at the time. It was created and published by Blue Byte, the folks behind the Battle Isle series. So theoretically it could come here to GOG if all parties were interested.

What's wild is I really have no idea what's holding back a release here.

Afaik it could have come when other Ubisoft/Blue Byte titles appeared (back before you registered), but it must be more complex than that.

You have to run it WITH DOSBox, it sounds like you are most definitely just launching the .exe in Windows.

Here is a tutorial ---> http://cutefloor.wordpress.com/dosbox-tutorial/
