So, I bought the Witcher and I started downloading it on my computer. Been doing it since this morning.
I have two discs. Disk C has Windows XP, some saved games and stuff on the desktop. Also, it's only 40 gigs, which was a lot several years ago. Disk D is my "stash" disk, which is 160 gigs (quite a lot as well back in the day!) and everything I install or download goes here.
Alas, when I installed the GOG downloader, i forgot to set disk D as the one it should save the files on. The witcher has been downloading all this time on Disk C. Now it's run out of space, the downloader finished downloading all the files and it's currently "combining" files. The disk gave me a warning ("You're choking me asshole! This file is too big!!") and then this little pop up window came up and said I had an error of some sort (it kinda sorta told me it had an error saving the file).
I paused the downloader and now I'm wondering if there is any way i can NOT delete everything and start from scratch? Because it seems like I ran out of space at some kind of crucial moment during the download. It's currently combining the files (23.96% done).
Can i move the files to D, set the download folder to D as well and hope the downloader magically recognizes the already downloaded files and start from where it left off? Am i asking too much from the super duper brand new GOG downloader?
Oh, and just for fun, pretend I'm totally illiterate when talking in computertechese.
