Running: 10/10. Gunning: 10/10. Aliens 10/10. Keeping the boat afloat: 0/10.

So, you've crashed on an alien planet and you need to find your crew and escape. Obviously, you decide to kill everything on the planet before you leave. This may sound a bit "homicidal maniac" to you, but it's actually kinda fair, 'cause the "everything" tried to kill you first. And most. And continually. The alien world is beautifully drawn and evokes a similar feeling of isolation and fantastic as Another World, but one essential part is completely different--[url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/capsized]Capsized is all about dynamic action, flying, throwing, and shooting. A wide selection of weapons (with alternate fire), hidden areas, level stats, power-ups, a jet-pack and a grappling hook complete the wonderful platforming experience Capsized has to offer.

is everything you wished for if you wished for a nostalgic run-and-gun platformer with modern 2D graphics and a added complexity, thanks to the physics engine and grappling hook. It's a steal for ten bucks, but today, as a part of End of the World Sale, Capsized is available 75% off in the [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/jumpin__indie_action_bundle]Jumpin' Indie Action Bundle along with La Mulana, Mutant Mudds, Snapshot, and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, together for only $14.95. However, if you missed the one day of the sale, Capsized is still 50% off until January 3 2012.

Ric1987: What didn't you like about it?
Mostly the controls. I can't believe that 15 years after abuse games come out with worse controls than Abuse.

You mean their controls were Abusive?
Haven't tried playing with mouse&keyboard, controls are fine with the X360 controller though.
I played with mouse and keyboard and it seemed fine. The game does have a floaty feel to it but then you are supposed to be on an alien planet that seems to have a lower gravity than Earth.

The game Abuse.

You really down know it? :'-(
Quite a neat and good game .Tried demo. Wishlisted hehe
Dont know why but the first thing in my mind when saw this release was Astro Marine Corps from MSX.
Good times...
Sounds interesting - on the screens it looks both lovable and cheap, will have to play it do decide which one it is. Bought it in the platform pack already (which curiously only contained games that I neither owned on Steam nor anywhere else).

I can. I remember the game "Blow Out" or something like that, from the creators of BloodRayne - I can't imagine Capsized is nearly as botched as that one.

1) Can't say I recall the game, but I may have encountered it.
2) My comment may have been better said as:
"Seems like their controls were"
*puts on sunglasses*
"Abusive"
3) I shouldn't try to post funny comments after 22:00
3.1) I shouldn't try to post funny comments, period
3.2) No, not even comments about Germans and their sense of humour.
Speaking of Abuse, does anyone know what happened to Fallen Frontier ? ( http://www.moonshotgames.com/ )

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't know if it's a "remake", though.

Might have meant "reboot" or "re-envision".
Exile... ahh.. BBC Micro Metroid with a physics engine
It already has a free re-imagining http://exile.ovine.net/
