The New Definition of a Boombastic Jazz Style!

Jazzpunk, a short-and-sweet first-person perspective adventure that dares to be both jazzy and punky (and weird; mostly weird), is available 20% off DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows and Mac OS X. That's only $11.99 for the first week.

Jazzpunk is a comedy adventure set in an alternate reality Cold War World, plagued with corporate espionage, CyberCrime, and sentient martinis. Gameplay is inspired by spoof comedy films and cartoons of yesteryear, with a focus on weird gadgets, exotic locales, and open-world style exploration. This original title comes packed with more exotic features than could possibly be enumerated here, and looks nothing like your everyday computer game. It's probably the best if you take a look for yourself!

Jazzpunk release trailer

Like what you see? Bet you do! What are you waiting for? Grab Jazzpunk this instant, for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The special 20% off release discount offer lasts until Friday, February 14, at 1:59PM GMT.

JudasIscariot: I just played it and I just got done degaussing (spelling?) some pigeons. Very fun so far :D

groze: Degaussing as in... demagnetizing old CRT screens? If that's it, this game just got even more amazespheres to me.
Exactly as you describe :)
Just took a look at some of the screens and read the posts before mine...

I'll bite and add this to the pile...
Interesting... that's about all I can say on this one.

If it's got good reviews might give it a try at some point, but going to pass and go back to my backlog for now.
WTF did I just watch? Love the feature list - "half a dozen jokes" - hahah. Might have to wishlist this.

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out.

Oh, god, yes! That's so cool!

Now, if only I wasn't utterly broke, right now... T-T

Oh, well, into the wishlist it goes, until better days start coming! :P
Reminds me of the British TV series Thunderbirds... dammit, I need to find that on DVD.

Maighstir:
I have the entire series in a wonderful DVD box set and it is amazing and was totally worth it.
It is golder than golded gold.

Thunderbirds are always go.
I liked the concept. Good release.

Speaking of Thunderbirds... Does anyone remember the C64 game?

Didn't even know there was one. Then again, I watched the show in the late 80's/early 90's, when NES (and later SNES) was all the rage.
My review at Strategy Informer can be found here, if you ignore the self-plugging. Basically if you think you will enjoy 2-3 hours of Naked Gun/Airplane!-style humour in one of the craziest and funniest games ever made, get it. There are many, many things to find and plenty of subtle gags and even full minigames to discover. On the downside it's short and the gameplay only consists of exploring the environment and discovering all the many things to laugh at. It's the 2014 equivalent of Virtual Springfield.

Definitely get it, though. It's just up to you whether you wait for a sale or not!
I'm at the RGB/Moiree/Synthesizer area and this one of the most billiant scenes in a game I've ever played. You only get most jokes when you're into computer science, like the contents of the graphics buffer in relation to time when the solitaire animation is played for example. The brilliance of most of the game is not revealed by playing the game, it's revealed when you try out things and look at things for a longer time... activities long forgotten in today's AAA titles.
Also: Turn up the volume, this game got the groove.
Sorry, I've got the Stendhal syndrome pretty hard right now, don't mind my utterings. This game targets a specific demographic and I've been hit.

Is this really a spoof/send-up of Thunderbirds? Or did they just steal that style for the video? I loves me some TB (and all the Gerry Anderson shows) but if that ISN'T what this is, I'll pass.
Too bad it was decided to use the Thunderbirds-themed trailer (which is still pretty cool in it's own right) to advertise this game on gog. You should have used the much cooler Johnny Mnemonic-themed trailer instead. That trailer ultimately made me buy this game.

As soon as this game is featured on a Monday promo, please do all potential customers a favor by luring them in with the Johnny Mnemonic-themed trailer. That and none other! Hey, it worked for me!

Oh yes, did I mention that there's this utterly brilliant Johnny Mnemonic-themed trailer that actually made me buy this game on a whim?

Crap I wanna play this one so much but have also some sorta ''moral obligation'' to at least finish some other wacky games.
But hey GOG, will other Adult Swim games see the light of day here? What about Super House of Dead Ninjas, Soundodger+ and Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe?
Cool additions, for sure; I mean, you guys already got Volgarr, Fist Puncher and now Jazzpunk!
