Did anyone else play the Carmageddon games? I must have spent 2 years of my life playing Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now. That is impure, adulterated fun.
Only the first one, but yeah I'd buy it

I don't get it. It's like since the Wishlist has been made openly visible on the Community page people have started posting even more requests on the forums. If you want to make sure that this game makes an appearance on GOG you better just vote for it on the wishlist.

The bump in requests is because the bump in new users. Likely none of them have any idea what the wishlist is really for, or they ignore it and go straight to requesting. The only way to get around that is to actually stop them to give them a tutorial on the website, but then that might just get skipped too.

Seeing how the button says "Request Games & Site features", it's purpose should be quite clear. My bet is on either "ignoring despite knowing about it" or, more likely, "just haven't seen the button at the bottom of the page yet".

....... -Checks- .... Actually, I didn't notice that either until just now. I was referring to that wishlist that shows when you click on "Community" up there.
Oh man i remember the good old Carmageddon 2 days.
Loved to ram over the penguins haha!
Had some serious compatibility issues and bugs though but anyways would be instabuy for me!
The only problem I had with Carmageddon 2 was that my car kept falling in half because I'd mildly bumped into something. But all the same, that and the first game were both a lot of fun. Something that no game since has recaptured.

That said, they're abandonware now. The devs (who outright own the games) have stated plainly that they don't care if the games are pirated and they're now in the hands of the community.

New Carmageddon game is on its way sometime too! :D
Request: A REALLY BIG FLASHING PINK / GREEN BUTTON, FOR EVERY NEW USER, CENTERED ON FORUM PAGE, LEADING TO WISHLIST.

I know, but I was thinking of something like a 'read and understood'' button attached to the post. which would have to be selected before a new user could post (like accept/decline options when installing software).

Likely there's be people who'd just click the button, but *some* people might read it.

Alternatively, GOG could create a separate 'Request' forum and move *every* request thread there. Would reduce clutter in the General Discussion forum and let people post to their hearts content. They'd still need to vote on the wishlist for GOG to consider it, though ☺

I honestly never even noticed that button... I apologize.

No problem, just use that for anything else you might want on the website in the future

Welcome to GOG, and enjoy your stay
Carma 2 was awesome! I remember that, like, it was a full decade later and racing games still didn't deform and wreck the vehicles as good as Carma did. And the bloody carnage! lol to think it was actually possible to win by finishing the race lap by lap. Funny times.
