Hey, I got a copy of Rift: Digital Collectors edition from GMG today, but it is a sub-based MMO, and I can not attempt to play it (can't afford to get sucked into one). Figured I'd see if anyone was interested in possibly trading something for this key?

Makes sense I suppose. I tend to try to avoid Pay2Play MMOs...That is why I tried to put it up for trade...lol

Good question, I'm honestly not sure. Right now I am just hoping for offers that will intrigue me. I mean, I know I am not going to get close to retail price ($49.99), but I don't want to let it go for next to nothing (if you know what I mean). I just know I won't use this because I do not play these subscription based games because I can't afford to pay monthly fees.

Yeah. I've been kind of following along its price trail and it's been 20% off during preorder, 20% off on D2D post launch, 33% off on Steam weekend sale, and 50% off on GMG almost exactly a month ago (that collector's version too, according to this).

I'm not terribly thrilled at the collector's edition bonuses either so I was going to see how low they'd go on Steam (I don't like GMG so it was a non-starter but Steam supposedly has that summer sale coming up) and consider it then, but it depends how low you'd go and if you get any other offers. Will monitor thread. :P

Alrighty, I understand what you are saying. Well, if you get bored and decide to offer something, by all means, go ahead. I have the key just sitting right now, and I haven't heard anything from anyone else as of yet. Interestingly enough, my other post appears to be getting some bites now, lol.

The Rift key is just a key, you have to use it on the rift website, not tied to anything, although it was obtained through GMG, it isn't tied to it.

Bumping one final time for potential offers.. Haven't seen any offers in the last 2 days...Currenlty the digi-collectors w/ 1 month is going for $31.99 on Rift's site. I was hoping to get $20 (trade or paypal), but may be willing to negotiate a bit on that.

How long would you be willing to wait? Steam's sale is supposedly coming up next week, if they don't put that on big discount and if I don't spend too much on said hypothetical sale, I will probably take you up on that (or just under, maybe around the price range of 3 $5.99 gogs or something?). It depends on the sale though. :P

Hmm...Not sure, I mean, I won't be using this one for myself, so I suppose waiting shouldn't be too big of a problem, but I am not sure if I could hold it if I get a similar offer (not that it appears that will be happening anytime soon.) But yeah, that range you state (3 $5.99 games or equivalent PayPal) sounds fair.

Oh, if you get a similar offer, please feel free to accept it :) I just meant if you minded if I held off any movement on my end till at least then for my offer, too, because I'm looking forward to seeing what if anything turns up from that sale.
