when i try to open it error message says "setup files are corrupted" "please obtain anew copy of the program"...new computer, just bought game tonight...wtf?????????

Are you using the GOG.com Downloader?
If not, try downloading again with that (you have to enable it in your game page).

Try to download the files without the download manager and separately (and manually) download the files through your browser. After that you can extract the files. It is possible that your internet was disconnected during the download so not all the files are downloaded.

I will try. i have windows 8, does that matter??

Accordingly to the game card, RCT3 should work on windows 8.. so I guess you'll be fine. ;p

Ah yeah, there must have been an error while downloading. Basically, you have to download it again, sorry! I would recommend using the GOG Downloader program because it has built in error checking for problems like this.

When you click on the game, turn the "gog.com downloaded mode" off (if you have difficulties with installer). But normally the downloader should work well for you.

It shouldn't really matter if you have win8 or not cause most games should work on it. There is also a 30 days guaranty, so if you really can't get the game to work, send the gog support team a ticket.

Also by clicking on community (above) and searching the game in 'Game specific forums', you will be redirected to the games' sub forum. You can ask your Q there too or use the search button to see if people had similar problems as you. By reading those threads you might find your answer :)

Well, I don't have Windows 8 (And I won't), but if its merely downloaded, I'd suggest looking for the same place all downloads go. If its installed, open that unweildly bog of tiles and start typing.
