So I searched around the forum and spotted a few mentions of RPG Maker (2000 and 2003, to be precise, http://crankeye.com/?page=downloads), but none of them seemed to talk about mods/games made for it.

Two games made with it that I really enjoyed were Sunset Over Imdahl (http://www.rpgrevolution.com/game/sunset-over-imdahl_148.html) and Wilfred the Hero (http://rpgmaker.net/games/132/). Anyone else find any games for it that they enjoyed?
I've forgotten a lot of games its been a while since I've played some games. My favourite games overall are probably The Way games
The first one is alright, kinda slow but a nice intro to the games. The second picks up a bit more and is a bit more fun. 3-5 are excellent and I won't say anything about 6 :)

I've been working on my own games. Currently doing a random level generator system then doing a custom battle system so I can have 5 man parties. Speed its going at right now makes Duke Nukem Forever look like it was rushed. :D
A mention has to be made of Barkley, Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden.

Legion Saga 1-3

Best RPG Maker series ever.
I always had the feeling that this was (ratio-wise) one of the most pirated applications ever.
I'm probably wrong though.

I didn't even realize it was completely illegitimate until like 3 years after I had already played a bunch of games made with it.
It sounds more fun than it really is, but nonetheless Dungeoneer: A Beautiful Escape is worth checking out for its weirdness.
OOOH YEAAH!!! Another game that I liked, even though its a Pacman clone and not an RPG of any kind (apart from that new PSN pacman game, its probably the best and most fun PM-clone I've played) was Chocobo Panic XMas
I used to play Forgotten Realms: Unlimited Adventures (otherwise known as) a lot back in the 90s, because it was one of the first games with a major mod community and fanbase out there on the web uploading all sorts of modules and whole-world mods. It was an RPG-maker for hack-n-slash games in the Gold Box mold. Many of the more ambitious modules I played were actually better than anything released by SSI, including sentimental faves like Curse of the Azure Bonds.

I don't own the game anymore, and my memories of most of it and the modules I played have mostly faded, but it was a good one for its day. Actually, a few cheap second-hand copies can still be had, it looks like.

Yeah, that happened with me too. It's a pity that the later versions that are legitimately available in English are a bit crippled. =(
Not to derail, but anyone ever play Phoenix Drive or Columbine Massacre RPG?

Castrum: Super Columbine Massacre RPG?
Yes. If it wasn't for the shitty text used for the game I'd like it more.
I remember an RPG Maker game called One Night: The Beyond, essentially a survival horror. Legitimately scary, even if the plot was terrifyingly bad near the end. I'd recommend it, personally.
