According to recent TGS interviews, Fumito Ueda is CONSIDERING to release both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus for the PlayStation 3.
If it's to be done (and remastered to display 720p with anti-aliasing etc., like the announced God of War Collection) is yet to be decided with Sony.

Now, we need a Okami port too,
and more audiences will consider games as art, like cinema, music... ;)

Too good to be true.
But oh, how I hope it happens.
These are two of the very few console exclusives I find to be top tier games, especially Ico (and no, I don't want to hear what a crabby PC fanboy I am ;) )
I hope this is true, as playing them in 640x480 with no AA is almost painful.
Ooh, yes please! I'd gladly pay $60 for that!
Damn you Team ICO! I don't want to buy a PS3, don't make me do it!!
Yeah I read this earlier and was a bit surprised. I kind of hope it happens, just so I can buy it, play them and say "Is THIS what all the fuss was about?"
That or be blown away by a pair of games that actually manage to live up to the rabid fan hype
Well, that would be another reason to buy a ps3.
I played Shadow of the Colossus a bit, and I liked it a lot. It's most certainly a very unique game.

If you end up thinking that about Ico, then you will clearly have no soul.
Personally, If they are going to do this, I'd want them to go even further -- such as recreating the castle in its original state as a very extensive unlockable =)
That would definitely seal the PS3's place as the more attractive current generation console.

It always was, just that more and more of the long awaited games we've been promised since launch day (God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, FF... something) are actually coming out this year or next year. FINALLY.

Well as it happens...
I'm just a bit bitter about games that have had such insane fan hype and been the best game evar!!!. I've been let down by all of the ones I tried to some degree, Halo (tedious generic shooter), Half Life 2 (tedious generic shooter with overused gimmick), FF7 (Straight up piece of shit with no story that I found in weeks of playing and crap gameplay otherwise), Fallout (okay game but hardly the king of RPGs)... the only game I can think of that's ever lived up to the fan hype (which I'd never heard at the time) was Planescape Torment
To me, a game that was worthy of all the hype was Call of Duty 2. Call me uncultured or whatever, but after all those ads and previews and such, I bought it and I loved it. You honestly couldn't tell it was a sequel... except you know, when you see D-Day. It was the game I bought a 360 for, man.
Halo was really overhyped.

Call of Duty 2 is widely considered worse than the original, other than graphics.
Call of Duty 4 was amazing though.
There are tons of massive hit games I find dissapointing, but I think that is true for everyone. The key is those games appeal to more people than most, and that means they deserve th recognition.

Didn't like the fourth one THAT much. Hated it when people were all like ZOMG COD4 PWNSSSSSSSS and shit on the 360s and whatnot. They didn't even know there were three of them before it.
Still, Modern Warfare was pretty good, but I'm not going to say it's the greatest shooter of all time. Modern Warfare 2 Prestige preordered though. Can't wait.

I don't like the whole series that much. Yes, I've played them, finished them several times, but that's over. After CoD4 I swore not to buy another PEW PEW PEW CoD game.
