Russia is attempting to take the Crimea. Earlier today, the Russian navy threatened Ukrainian armed forces in the Crimea. The Russian navy demanded that Ukrainian forces in the Crimea surrender and leave the area. Russian military groups have been trying to take control of the area. Some news reports say they have succeeded.

Hey it's ok, they are just trying to restore "stability" and order. Just like back then when they marched into Poland or Afghanistan, or when Saudi send their tanks into Bahrain to suppress the democratic protests, or when France invaded Mali, or when Vietnam invaded Cambodia or when Nato attacked Serbia and Lybia, or when....
We're just trying to get to the GOG Headquarters.
Russia are I think in breach of treaties they signed up for, there are already some calls for them to be kicked out of the G8 (though not sure why the G8)

The issue is that Russia is causing more instability in the Crimea and Ukraine than was there in the first place, Now i understand that from a Russian political perspective they see that the previous Ukraine President was removed unlawfully but from the news reports I have read that was not the case.

To make matters worse no-one will do anything to stop Russia, Its basically is an illegal invasion and Russia's government are sitting back laughing at the rest of the worlds refusal to do anything about it basically giving them the green light to do what they want.

Part of me thinks that Ukraine will hand over control of the Crimea region to the Russian's to stop this escalating which would not come as a shock if it worked, Russia from my limited knowledge of the politics of that region has wanted to regain control of the Crimean region since Ukraine broke away.

Yeah, I don't think they like regional pricing either...
Odd, I saw on the News this morning that they were withdrawing?

Hard to argue that they are a rich country when its pointed out that part of the reason is they get a lot of things (not just games) cheaper than the rest of the world.

(this is intended as a joke.)
Why do we need another thread about Ukraine ?

The population of Russia has doubled since the regional pricing announcement. The country is at breaking point.

We dont but you could ask that question about most things, there have been at least 3 topics about false positives in the last week, there is a topic about DRM coffee when it was first posted in the topic about internet finds.

If you want to pull it further back, GOG releases a game, posts a topic and 2 weeks later posts its DLC in a separate topic (slight exaggeration perhaps) but technically there is already a topic about the game so why does its DLC need a topic.

Personally ive given up caring how many topics about the same thing come up.

Because it's a different event from the Ukrainian civil war?
