Hey guys, my dad and I used to be avid space/flyer game players. We loved the Descent series as well as another game that neither of us can remember the name of but we remembered playing it a lot. I was hoping if I described a bit of it someone could perhaps give a name?
From what we remember the case had a ton of CDs (6+) and the whole premise of the game was flying different ships of any size in fleets. You could go from as small as a bomber to as big as a capital ship with different armaments. It had tons of missions but we can't remember if it had a free fly mode or not. The UI also was sometimes intuitive while also counter-intuitive such as locking onto an asteroid instead of a fighter or even a communications tower. And as other space games it had lots of "hyperdrive" scenes where the fleet would warp into hostile space.
We can't really remember much other than what we used to do and how much fun we had with it as well as the fun we'd poke at its enormously thick case sometimes. Anyone think they know this game?
