I've never played the game myself(or other Settlers games) but it's meta score is 79 so I imagine if the game interests you it's worth it.

I wouldnt want to give ubisoft money just based on their DRM policies. But I tried settlers 7 and it was really nothing remarkable. then again, I was always a settlers 2 fan more.
