Kabuto: Well I don't know what the hell you're referring to. I was referring to the fact he mocks sports and the need to be manly yet goes and spends $90 on Duke Nukem Forever to play as manly Duke.
From what I gather, anyone who spent $90 on that game wasted $85
2011 Dallas Mavericks > 2011 Boston Bruins!

That's like my 1st troll post. But its not really a troll post, so much as it is the truth! :OD

I was a little concerned initially but in the end both Dallas and Boston won.

Thomas is God
In Dirk we trust

Who says you have to cheer for Vancouver just because you live in Canada. Give me an original six team anyday (except Toronto!).

That's just called having standards.

Anyway, thanks to Boston for the consolation prize. Seeing Tim Thomas outduel Bobby Lou took a bit of the sting out of my team doing nothing this year (damn concussion). Well, that and watching the Flyers (thanks again, Boston) and Caps both get swept.

I liked the Canucks alot in the 1st place, and never felt comfortable rooting for the Bruins even though I live much closer to Boston than I do Vancouver. The Boston Celtics are one of my favourite NBA teams though.

I was rooting for the Dallas Mavericks to win it since the playoffs began. Very fullfilling to see them do it; against that extremely talented Heat team, at that!

deshadow52: that game, maybe even series was a huge fail for Vancouver. All the potential their team has was barely used at all.
Hardly a fail: they just got their clocks cleaned by the Bruins' defense. They played well enough to get 246 shots on goal, but Thomas saved a record 238 of them, including 37-shot and 38-shot shutouts.

Great series, but goaltending is usually what wins a series for you, and Tim the Tank played the series of his life.

Sometimes great goalies are made by poor opponent's offense and this was partly a case. I don't want to lessen Thomas' contribution though, he was fantastic and MVP trophy was well deserved.

I'm just not sure this was a case of poor offense. The Canucks averaged almost 37 shots on goal. Maybe an unusual number of them were low-percentage shots, but getting that many shots isn't a sign of slacking on offense.

Gaming much better than sports....period.
