But probably not on GOG, so keep voting:

Pica-Ludica: Quoting the FAQ page of Shining Rock Software's site:

Where can Banished be purchased?
You can buy Banished here on the Shining Rock Software website through use of the Humble Widget. You’ll get a DRM-Free version, as well as an optional Steam key. You can also buy it from Steam, the Humble Store, or gog.com.

Pica-Ludica: We shall see tomorrow, I guess :)
OK, so if it's DRM free, then GOG should be a possibility.

Since Linux is still a possibility, I'll likely hold off until there's a more definitive answer to that, seeing as If there's no Linux version I'll buy it here, and if there is, I'll buy elsewhere.

ErekoseDM: has anyone watched some of these LP vids?

how far into the future can you get in this game?
i saw a post on their forums someone posted about wanting Castles added in a mod or future update so if anyone can shed some light on it it would be great.

i did like the trailer videos of what i saw so far though.
I watched TotalBiscuit's WTF here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAi5wWPDZjw

The game's scope seems to be quite limited. No combat, no tech research as far as I could see, etc.
The emphasis is on survival.

Looks quite interesting to me.
According to this, it should be on GOG tomorrow :

Have followed the development of this game for at least 6 months, and it looks really fun. Was great to see in the FAQ that the game will (hopefully!) get a GOG release, so it will be possible to get it DRM Free. Not sure if my computer can handle it, so I may postpone actually buying it, but it does looks like great fun. I love city building games, and was a bit disappointed with the direction Timber and Stone took (much towards combat rather than building), so I hope this game will satisfy my interest for longer =)

It will be available at Humble Store as a DRM-free copy even if GOG wasn't available (or that deal hasn't come through yet). Also, the requirements are listed here in the FAQ section.

As always I only recommend to look at recommended requirements as minimum unless neither graphics or performance matter.

Humble Bundle is close to dead to me, so I'll buy it here when I buy it, or perhaps directly from Shining Rock Software, if that is possible (I think it was).

The specs are a bit odd in this case though. The only real difference between minimum and recommended were Dx 10-11 instead of 9c, and unfortunately I have the latter, with a somewhat underwhelming CPU too. Hope it would still play okay, as I don't really have the finances atm to buy a new PC, although I really ought to, as the current is getting on a bit.

Maybe I'll just buy it and see if it works. If not... oh well. I still have The Witcher 2 here on GOG, completely unplayed as it stuttered something unreal when I tried to play it. One day..... :D
You can watch Quill18's videos starting from this, he has quite a few videos on Banished, I guess about 20+:

I love watching his Paradox games playthroughs. No brainer to watch some of these if you're inclined to the game.

GOG copy will be available, $19.99
Just a bump confirming that Banished is now available on GOG.
