with all do respect ,
you said that you have new faster than ever servers...yet the download speed is slower than ever.
getting about 4-11kbs on different computers with different internet connections!
You're lucky, myself and a few other members are unable to even get to download anything, all we see are blank white pages. We are unable even to even look at the front page when logged in.

I expect this to have something to do with
1)new members buying and downloading games
2)old members going FFFFUUUUUUU! NEED TO BACKUP!
so bandwidth usage might be up, and up a lot more than expected.
It's not just downloading for me and a few other members. We are unable to use most of the site except the forum and support page.
I already have all my games backed up except for the last 5 games I purchased yesterday.
Hmm, I'm downloading one right now at about 9-10 Mb / second, about maxed for my DSL line. Maybe it's slow on your end this morning, and not GOGs servers. Or maybe I got a lucky slot in the queue.
this is outrages!
first they do this poor PR stunt with lame acting,
now they open the site...that looks...well the same.
going on and on about how improved and faster the site is...

but its all nothing.
does not work. if it does then the speed is slow /none at all
i think we deserve more than an apology.
Hmm, this may be my fault, I was sitting there a few minutes ago thinking how great my download speed was...
I'm getting 231KB/sec.

I think that's fast.
I'm also getting perfectly fine download speeds, but with the occasional website glitch. Honestly, some problems should have been expected by everyone:

1. GOG got a ton of publicity from this, plus they released Baldur's Gate, which together brought a huge amount of new traffic to the site
2. Old members were scared by this and rushed to download the backups they should have downloaded days/weeks/months ago
3. 95% of the website code is brand new and was bound to have a few unexpected glitches in it

Put those three key points together and you are going to have less than perfect performance from the website, most likely for at least the next few days. Eventually the traffic flow will settle down and the bugs will get worked out, then things can get back to some semblance of normal around here.
so...united state and Australia get good speed

what about Europe?
Poland here, and I got like 700 kb/s

Although I only tried to download Age of Wonders for a few seconds, i'm not going to back up games now, they are not going anywhere.
I'm currently downloading at about 3 Mbyte/s, pretty neatly divided between 4 files.
