Just curious, other than me and Lowlyhong (we're from Singapore), who else is Asian here, as in born in Asia.

We've also got a few Russians; but being spread across Asia and Europe, it would depend on which bit of Russia they're from, I suppose.

I was born in Singapore too, moved to Canada like 10 years ago in the middle of Secondary School. Now I guess we're kinda Canadian Chinese, heh.

I did notice some Singaporeans in the From: boxes around here, nice to see! Always been a country of gamers. :P

Heritage? I'm part Chinese and part Cat..

Nah, full Chinese, nothing too exotic. Not even really sure which part of China my great grandparents (I think) came from, we settled in Singapore for a couple generations, and now our family is here in Canada, although all our extended family is still back there.

That's pretty cool. I've met some people from South Korea and Japan but never from China yet.

Still, simply being asian is exotic. :P

Few years back when I was in Queensland, Australia for a military exercise, during our R&R a few of my friends went to a bar and were met with glares and racist remarks like "fucking Asians".

I don't know what's sadder, the fact that people still can't distinguish an "Asian" from an "Oriental", or blind racism.

I take back what I said about Asians and Orientals. My own conceptions of it are apaprently misguided too :O

Racism, in all it's forms, is totally despicable. We are all humans, after all..
