So, last week I finally got a PS3 which happens to be the first console I have ever owned (not counting the Atari 2600 my brother got for Christmas 1988). I have of course played on lots of consoles, some of which I had even borrowed for longer periods from friends but well, I've still got a lot of catching up to do.

So, I'm looking for suggestions which console or PS3 exclusives I should get.

So far I've grabbed:

Infamous
Mortal Kombat (I know, soon to be ported to PC >.<)

Resistance
Sports Champions 2 (was included with the console)

I've enjoyed God of War and Resistance quite a lot so I'm planning to complete the series, I'm also already planning to grab Gran Turismo 5, the Killzone series, Red Dead Redemption and maybe Heavy Rain (although I wasn't a big fan of Fahrenheit) and Lollipop Chainsaw. And of course Metal Gear Solid Legacy as soon as it gets out.

So, what are your suggestions for console/PS3 must-haves?

Demon's Souls which I like just a little bit more than Dark Souls.

And Metal Gear Solid 4

Valkyria Chronicles, one of my favourite PS3 games.

Also I've not played the third yet but the Uncharted games are pretty good.

Dude, none of that until you've played Red Dead Redemption.

What's the game coming up with the guy and the girl in the fucked up, post war world? No More Heroes or some crap? Get that one when it drops too, it looks great.

Nier, ratchet and clank, Uncharted. If i can remember more i will post more ;)

Enslaved may also be worth getting do to used copies being dirt cheap. The gameplay is average, but the characters are really great, and kept me playing to the end.

Depending on whether or not you like the gameplay and style, I would recommend the Sly Cooper series. They are mission-based 3D stealth platformer games, set in a cartoon universe of anthropomorphic animals. I've had a blast with them over the years, first on the PS2 and later on the PS3. You can get the original 3 PS2 games for PS3 with updated graphics as a single disc, and the fourth game in the series came out a couple of months ago, also for PS3.

Oh yeah, forgot that one. I played Dark Souls on PC and enjoyed it a lot. Wanted to grab the original too. Of course, but it's part of MGS Legacy which I'm gonna get as soon as I can.

Tried this at a friend's place, it's totally not my style and also I'm not convinced by the gameplay (which reminds me a whole damn lot of Hogs of War - for some reason that comparison made my buddy mad). May grab it if an occasion arises, though. Also tried this one, I think I've actually beaten about half of the first game at my friend's place and I must say that I was utterly disappointed. But still, since it's a showcase series of the PS3 I'm also already planning to get those (forgot mentioning them). In fact I was about to order the game but then some technical issues occurred with the order. <.<
Oh yeah, totally forgot that one. I played the demo at yet another guy's place once. I haven't seen much but I really loved the style. Good to know that people recommend it. Oh yeah, have been very interested in the series ever since I heard that some of the original Silent Hill creators made it. Didn't know there was an entry of the series on the PS3. Will keep my eyes peeled.

Yeah, I've actually played that for several hours on a friend's PS3 and indeed, I really want to grab it and have a chance to enjoy it freely at my own place. From what I've seen I'd choose this one over GTA4 anytime. Ah, yes, I know which one you mean. I guess I may want to check out an earlier game from the series first, though (although I've heard very mixed opinions). Don't know what Nier is but a friend of mine also is a huge fan of Ratchet and Clank. Guess I'll give it a try eventually.
