So I have been following GoG for quite a while now. I have noticed that since wastland got released in November, no really great games have been released. So, annyone got anny clues to what the next really Good old game wil be?
I keep waiting for Diablo, Dune, Freelancer, Warcraft, Dark omen, Shogun total war, command and conquer, and more.
Im getting a bit tired of all the new not so good games.
No chance for Diablo and Warcraft.
Oh, I thought this was a thread about my social life. Sorry. I'll be going now.

Seriously, how long ago was Red Faction? That's a great game. It's not Warcraft or Diablo but nothing really is; it's still a blast.
Since you've been following GOG for a while, you probably noticed that GOG dropped the concept of Good Old Games, they're just GOG.com now, and no further releases of good old games are planned, sorry. I also heard a rumor that Blizzard was begging GOG to accept Diablo, but they rejected it, saying that from now on, they would like to focus on all the "new not so good games". So there you have it. Sucks, right? ;)

Too obvious? ;)
Umm...Red Faction was a great release here. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series was a really good release here, I love those games. Harvester was a pretty big release for a lot of people. While I do agree there really should be some bigger old games coming out, it's almost to the point where the people already signed on are the only publishers who would sign on here. Oh, Age of Wonders III, but that's a new game, still big all the same.

Edit: Not to be a jerk, but the title really should say, "So, it's been a while."

Theme Park is pretty legendary too!
Plus Hitman 3 and Risen 1 just today

Personally I'm pretty pleased BloodNet and Slave Zero have turned up - they both have too many issues to be considered 'truly great' though, I suppose!

FlatOut 2 is arguably (a slightly inferior version of) the best racing game EVA too! (that was post-Wastland, right?)

Forgot HItman, I was gonna buy it, but for whatever reason didn't. But you're right it was pretty big.
Oh for Christ sake, this shit again?
Slave Zero,Harvester,S.T.A.L.K.E.R,Hitman:Contracts are not good enough for you?now what, you gonna start bitching that GOG is releasing indies?
I just hate this kind of thread but you need to realise that several old games are REALLY hard to get.

Especially considering how with company buy outs it's probably really hard to tell who has what, some games I think have multiple owners, and what with many publishers not wanting to release them here.

The only one on his list that has much hope is C&C but I guess EA haven't brought it here because they're selling that big pack of everything C&C on Origin

Stupid thing is though that some of the early ones in that pack are pretty broken out-of-the-box and EA could rip--off GOG's compatibility work and adapt them to update their Origin versions!

Although there also seems some dispute over whether the early ones are supposed to be freeware or not - EA defiantly made them free for a while and you can still track down some old links on legit sites to download them for free, they mostly seem like they were left up as an oversight though...

I actually think, with THQ and especially Atari going to the wall, its made lawyers go through and work out what they DO defiantly own and can sell off and maybe brought to light some stuff that was forgotten about...
