Games are : Canabalt, Velocity, Breakquest and Wizorb in no particular order, forgot which step gives which.. ALL cool games,especially Wizorb best of the bunch, followed by Velocity, Breakquest then Canabalt IMO.


Trolling part : What a nice move from Sony, adding to their everyear promo offers.. We won't see this from greedy Ninty would we!? What with their Virtual console archeo-gaming stuff at 10 bucks a piece, and console locked content, trololol.. :)

Make a new PSN account in the with a UK address or other valid address for the promo, that's what I did. The PS3 can have lots of simultaneous accounts from different regions. The portable systems can only have 1 account active at a time so that's more of a headache.

I actually had to set up a new Facebook account too to do this, my first attempt from my main Facebook gave me 2 codes that failed to work on my UK PSN account, the error said they were already used minutes after I got them (the Facebook app must give out randomly generated codes with no way to check if someone's used them before). I didn't even bother trying for the 4th option (Wizorb) on my main account because that would've given thier app too much access.

In doing this, I also noticed that redeeming the codes from Account Management gives you the old PSN store interface... including the video preview that allows resizing, and the speedy load times. But just for the game the codes are good for. I'd really like to get the whole old store working though, it was far superior even if it was less flashy.

So, does this make Sony racist against Americans?

It works in India.. activated three codes and they work fine.. one code did not activate for some reason.. give it a try

That giveaway is a very inadequate compensation for the fuck-ugly mandatory SingStar app, which is the default selected menu item, unless you have a game disc in the drive. Naturally that crap comes with it's own desktop background. How I miss thee... They really screwed up the store. It seems, that the idea was to shove game posters and promo banners into the user's face for as long as it was humanly possible, until the user is already at their destination, all in the hopes of getting extra impulse sales. Not bloody likely with their pricing. Seeing Movies menu pop up under PS3 Games in the US store is also a joy. Oh, and the space in the middle of the top bar, which could've been used for wishlist interface is just empty. I have to keep an Excel spreadsheet to remember what I was going to buy.

the new store layout is godawful, it's crashed my ps3 or quit back to the xmb literally every time I've tried to use it.
