I apologise if someone else has previously suggested this, however I don't follow the forums here and I did want to give you some feedback.

I quite like both old games, and Good Old Games, there's a nice feeling here that it's more than just a money making exercise. I hope this will replace Abandonware which I used to follow quite closely, but haven't looked at in some years. These days I have so very little time on my hands, and I have piles of games bought on Steam that I've not gotten around to.

Through an act of self discipline I've decided to wishlist a pile of games, rather than buy them. I simply wouldn't have any time to play them - I'm very busy at work, I'm moving house, my parents are unwell and need a bit of care at the moment etc. However it's not through lack of money. I would imagine that there are a great deal of gamers in my age group here - 30s, and I would imagine like me your disposable income is considerably greater than it was when these games came out the first time around.

So I may never get around to buying these games, unless I'm somehow incentivised to do so. So my suggestion to GoG is that you rarely have a "Wishlist" offer everything on Wishlists is reduced in price. You will of course need to limit it, otherwise it's a free for all discount on everything. You may wish to freeze people's wishlists when the incentive starts, or I'd suggest a better way would be to make a minimum purchase of 5 games at one time for the offer to 'kick in'.

For example games at 5.99 would be 3.99 and games at 9.99 would be 5.99. The impact, I think, would be that you sell a great many games that people would not otherwise have bought, and while of course it would mean that someone who was going to buy a game anyway would now pay less for it, if you have a minimum purchase of 5+ games then that would be mitigated. You would also be wise to get agreement from rights holders to reduce the price you pay them when a title sells, as this promotion should cause a great deal more sales for them.

It's actually not in my interests for you to do this since it'd cost me a fortune... but none the less I thought I'd give a bit of feedback to try to help things along here.
Perhaps they took my advice and this is what the Staycation will be.
