Denezan: Yeah the video on here is not the one I watched. Try this extended japanese trailer and tell me it is not Kahn. Btw, I believe the blonde is meant to be Nurse Chapel, however do not quote me on it.
The extended Japanese trailer is the only version I watched before this thread.

Regardless of the "hand-on-glass" scene, if Alice Eve's very, very strong resemblance to a certain character from TOS (not Chapel) means anything, Cumberpatch is not playing Khan.

Denezan: I don't know if I should facepalm at this or what. Introducing Khan Noonien Singh into this. Dear lord what are they doing to my Trek? :( To be honest, the people who make these films need to get themselves an original idea instead of all these remakes.

Total recall = pure garbage to anyone who has seen the original.
Transformers = sexy CGI but abysmal story (Autobot's tearing a decepticon apart horror film style? Yeah right)
Garfield = seriously?
Star Trek = has its moments of comedic value, but other than that, it blows the big one.
The Chipmunks = oh dear god make it stop.
Do I need to add anymore?

It is so bad even The Smurfs was remade. Come on already, enough is enough.
As has already been pointed out, we have absolutely no confirmation whatsoever as to who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing. We don't know if it's Khan, and any speculation that it was him (my own included) is just guesswork. Someone else speculated that it could also very well be Garth of Izar from one of the Season 3 TOS episodes.
I thought the villain was Picard at first too when the trailer started.

Star Trek 2009 was ok, but still far better than how the movies ended with Nemesis. I'll still watch this one as its not like they have reached Voyager or early Enterprise levels of bad yet.

Cool, thought I was losing it when I heard his voice as the villain, it didnt make sense :)
Bugger it, I do not care who it is to be honest. I just wish they would stop doing these remakes.

With all of this talk about people thinking it was Picard, I wonder if Benedict Cumberbatch would have been a better choice to play a younger Picard instead of Tom Hardy (who I still can't believe actually played Bane in Dark Knight Rises).

Then again, I think that just about every aspect of Star Trek Nemesis was utterly dreadful. With all of the continued sniping at Abrams and Lindelof over the reboot, you'd think that they somehow didn't pay attention to how Berman and Braga ran the Star Trek franchise into the ground with Voyager, Enterprise, Insurrection and Nemesis.
I finally went to the cinema to see this one.

What a AMAZING movie. It has everything I expected from a re-imagined Star Trek series. I can understand why hardcore Trekkies my not like what Abrams did to their beloved universe, but fuck them.

And Cumberbatch is superior as Khan.
^spoilers much?

It's a spoiler that this movie is about Khan?

I felt like anyone who knows anything about ST universe should know that right along, and anybody who is not familiar with it, will not understand it anyway.
I certainly had no idea who he was until he straight out stated it.

that's strange... Because I'm not a big fan of ST universe, I only know the basics, and I knew it from the day they showed the first 30 seconds trailer on SuperBowl.

I actually didn't see any of the trailers prior to watching the movie :)

That would explain it. Because they announced him as a superior human from the very start, even without telling his name I knew who he was.

By the way, it's super fun to see this alternative timeline, how the things are different this time.
I couldn't resist...
