Do you want to learn how you can get ahead of your opponent by abusing micro management? This Starcraft 2 micro guide will teach you how you can get ahead of your opponent by using micro.
Micro, or micro management, involves you controlling individual units on the battlefield in order to give you an advantage over the opponent's unit. This is different from macro, where you want to keep your money low and keep producing units and buildings.
The problem with newer players is that they want to learn micro before macro; however, using macro is a lot more important and will win you the game over micro in the lower levels of the game. Once you master macro, micro is the next big step into becoming a high level player.
This Starcraft 2 micro guide will give you some examples of how you can use micro to get ahead. For a Zerg player, you know that in Zerg vs Zerg match ups that banelings are used often. You can move individual banelings at a time into your opponents base and detonate the baneling next to their clustered zergling. Your opponent will just attack move their zergling, so you can take advantage and micro your baneling into their army one at a time and kill all the opponent units.
It is micro management such as this that will give you an immense advantage over the opponent.
If you are Terran, a micro example would be using your reaper. You can click a chasing zealot to attack, move back a bit, and click the zealot again. If you continuously do this, you will take no damage while you kill the zealot. This can be applied a lot of other ranged units in the game.
