There was a short story writing contest in latin america by Blizzard. You had to write a short story taking place in the starcraft universe.
The prize for the first 3 places was an autographed copy of Starcraft 2 collectors edition and a couple of books from the series.
A friend of mine asked me to help him write a short story. So I helped him correcting his story and adding new ideas until he had something he was happy with.
Today the results were published and he took a second place! :D I feel very happy for him and I'm very proud to have a significant contribution in his victory. HOORAY!

Not really, but he owns me a pizza. :D
I didn't really care about the prize, my friend is a bigger Sc fan than I, but I really like writing so I helped him out.
He first sent me a draft of his text, I corrected it and than wrote an entire text based of his but adding a lot of different things. I sent him both the correction and the new text. The idea was to show him a different take on his concepts so that he could improve them.
He then sent me back a complete text using a few modified parts from mine and building upon both his original text and mine. Again, I sent him corrections and a brand new text, mostly built upon my original.
He just made the suggested corrections and submitted without even touching my last version (even though he read it too).
I'm pretty impressed that he won and next time I'll take part in the contest too.
