It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I just watched an episode of West Wing on Netflix with that title. =) heh

hedwards: That ought to be illegal IMHO. If you wanted to use ask or whatever you would have chosen to use it. Assuming that you want to use it is just plain asinine. I think anybody who is able to consent is capable of clicking a check box.

orcishgamer: It's the old opt-in vs. opt-out thing, I don't like it myself, but it's frequently done.
I know and the industry has proven itself to be incapable of self regulation, so clearly the government needs to step in and make them behave. Ultimately, it's theft of my time and bandwidth to have them installing things when I don't notice they've opted me in for something.

I really wish they would test these new forum features before pushing them to the server.

Woooo! Two years of Latin has finally paid off in being able to understand completely random phrases! Yeah, but it's occasionally referenced in legal shows...my foreign language lessons have been a failure, just like Taemyr's browser.

Oh, the GOP?

taemyr: Hi.

I resently installed a few games that I boought from you. After this mozilla searched on ask rather than on google.

If this happens again I will stop buying from gog.
What else have you installed recently besides GOG games? -__-
Seriously, OP just tell us what else went on, even if it was something you perceived as a minor thing, and maybe one of us can help you find out what happened.
Was it stupid post day today and I just didn't know?

My toaster stopped working after I installed a GOG game...they totally busted it!
Someone is computer dumb.

Hmm. You may be on to something there... :-)

@Topic: try to be more careful when installing/updating Flash, JRE, Quicktime, Torrent-Clients etc. Any 'free' software you get from the net often comes bundled with crappy toolbars. Especially Ask and Yahoo seem to be desperate to get some customers in that way. But then again they probably don't get customers in any other way, so they have to resort to sneaky measures...

I asked around. We do literally nothing that would change your browser settings.

On the other hand, the Java Runtime update that just got released as a bugfix to a massive security flaw? That does change your browser settings. I suspect that's what happened to you.

Sorry to hear your default settings got changed, though.

EDIT: Ninja'ed by ol' Mad and Green, like, twelve hours ago. Shame on me. Shame.
