tinyE: Last year he told them that if they were not to completely renovate the dome the city would be in violation of the lease and he would be free to take his team elsewhere. He told the city they had one year to come up with the $10,000 (I'm actually not sure of the exact amount) needed for full renovation.

One year later the city had yet to give him 10 cents for the renovation.

A few weeks later he bought 60 acres of vacant lot next to the Staples Center.

Crassmaster: Eh, that doesn't equal 'move the team!' Seems to me more like a strongarm tactic, where he creates the idea of his moving the team. Sometimes that's enough to force through at least some of what he wants.

tinyE: That's what we thought but he didn't get a dime. I'm not too worried because the owner of the Jags is from St. Louis and is DYING to move his team there. The only thing that would bother me about that is the Jags have the ugliest uniforms in the history of sports.

Crassmaster: I might agree with you on the uniforms...but have you seen what they wore for The Pro Bowl this year? Holy crap.

Crassmaster: They actually remind me of the horrendous jerseys from the World League of American Football. :)

tinyE: A lot of those teams still exist in Europe....I think. They did a couple of years ago.

Crassmaster: Nope, it was finally given the bullet in the head a few years back. Ceased operations as NFL Europa in...looks like 2007.
