Delighted absolutely delighted with this news. I was so upset Capcom didn't port the original SSF4 given a) It's designed on the PC MT Framework and b) Capcom said the PC version outsold their expectations.

Anyway seen this tweet earlier from Yoshinori Ono:

I'll try to live up to your expectations. ;D RT @ugo_2u: Hurray PC version is coming out! Thanks Capcom. I'm not tellin who my source is..:)

YAY!
I sure hope this is for real. I'm getting tired of fighting the same 10 people on GFWL. Everyone left when SSF4 came out on consoles.

Confirmed. I sent a tweet to Ono about it:

Hehehe,Thx for it voice ;P So,Plz wait it soon. ;D RT @Delixe:PC version of SSF4? You are a lovely, lovely man.
But will SSF4 owners get a discount?

No?

Pah. :P

Also, if they're going to release this on PC, I expect DLC. Lots and lots of it.

Costume packs most likely which I am happy to live without. I think they released 4 for SF4 and I didn't buy any.
will it be on steam or gfwl?
Forgive me if I'm not going to be excited. After all, they won't sell it to me anyway.
so will marvel vs capcom 3 make its way to the pc then? that i will buy.

Most likely GFWL because Capcom seems to like it. I'm ok with it but unfortunately I can't buy any DLC because my GFWL account is mexican in order to be able to play online =/

I wish it would but it's highly unlikely. Also sod all chance of Street Fighter X Tekken.

I can't speak for the PC version, but the PS3 version of the DLC is incredibly overpriced. $4 or $5 for 5 costumes. The only reason I own any of them is because I caught the complete SFIV pack for like $6 & won the Super Shoryuken pack in a contest on Capcom's official SF facebook page the other day.
Maybe it will be time for me to brush off the dust on meh Dudley again.

Keep it classy Capcom. (Where the FUCK is my 3S HD edition Cap?)

What do you need an HD version of Third Strike for? The game is pretty damn beautiful as it is, even today. ;)

Oh dont get me wrong, I still play 3S often (Duds/Alex for a decade strong yo.), I am more interested in the resurgence that will inevitably follow the HD facelift. (take a look at HDR, the ST remake as an example.)

As it stands right now, the only way to play 3S with solid netcode is by using GGPO, and while that is great, the community is small, and will continue to dwindle away. (They are actually making a 3S remix right now, not sure if you were aware of that fact, 3S is no longer a featured game in tourney play, we want it back!)

On that note, I would KILL for an Alpha 2 remix as well, as the community for that game is all but dead, and it is easily one of the best SF titles. (IMO)

Or CVS2....oh god, CVS2....
