and these details have been sent too :)
be extremely warned, there is corruption both on the right as well as left sides... the suicide well is the last safe point....we have to build up a town with npcs before we can purge the evil....
just checked the server. would love to join but my net connection is not up to the task. it lags like hell even without any other players :(
suicide well almost killed me. lost 158 HP out of 160
This sounds awesome, I've wanted a good excuse to get back to Terraria, so that'd be great. :)
well my house of greed is completed :D , feel free to use the bed at the top :D
Eh, I'd join in if you'll have me.
I want my time traveling bicycle.
I may join later on just to see the server.
So I have read about games like this in the past and they really interest me so I did a bit of perusing on this one. But I still just dont get it... Would someone layout the basics of the game for me in simpleton terms? Heres what I think and was able to piece together...

You are in a persistent world that you seemingly never leave. You must build up some form of protection for when you are not about to protect yourself manually. Do this by collecting materials and mastering crafts. Is this right? If so, how do other players interact? Whats the "end game"? I hear of additional content being released, is this along the lines of MMORPG with new zones and dungeons, etc?
sounds nice, I'll join!
Since it takes only a little time to practically beat the game, and it's also way too easy to cheat with inventory editing applications, big servers usually stop being interesting after a few days.
Therefore, my experience was that Terraria is only fun as long as you don't have more than 4 people (preferably people you trust and like, and can play together with usually, so there won't be much difference in terms of game progress).

Nevertheless, starting a server is a nice addition to the GOG community indeed. :)
I built a corruption arena for you guys to the right of the settlement. Should make dealing with Eye of Cthulhu and Eater of Worlds easy.

drat , want to check it out but getting connection lost :\
Okay, I ALSO built an elevator to 1200ft for a skybridge to be built off of. At around 700ft of it is my house, heh. And at 760ft or so to the left is a corruption arena. It needs a bit more corruption blocks it seems or it's too high up. I can't get Eater of Worlds to come to it, heh. Guess I'll need to dynamite it later.

So just use the one I made to the right for fighting Eater of Worlds. I also left 4 Worm Food for summoning him and an Eye for summoning Eye of Cthulhu (AND the weapons needed to fight them).

With that, I think it's time for me to sleep.

Edit: Heh, as I was trying to log off the goblin army arrived and finally got myself a Harpoon, hehe.
