This seems a good time as any to bring up my relevant thread.

What's the point on having news on a game that I can't play?

Well you can always buy it on steam? It's your choice. You want to play, you need to abide their rules.

They want my money? They need to abide by my rules.

If they really actually needed the game to be available in one place only, I can see why they went with Steam. But why they so far have insisted on the "one place only" policy is beyond me. I would have expected the game to show up in at least the Humble store by now, but no! Steam-ONLY!

I guess they have more money than they know what to do with, and don't actually need or want more sales.
This would be an excellent time to get the game here. I can't wait to try the new update too.

Indeed.
That game was on special sale countless times, made into a bunch of bundles, was fun from the start.

Getting it NOW of all times seems weird.

Edit : ... but this game is worth buying anyway :D

Oh man.

I missed the last big update and I've been thinking about starting a brand new world. Looks like a good time to get back into it! Thanks for the heads up.

Hehe, those two statements pretty much sum it all up, don't they? ;-)

Strange, I don't feel compelled to make a new account for an obtuse client to install a game that doesn't even require it.
I'm waiting for this... people are already playing on youtube.

And apparently they don't feel compelled to provide you the game without. A stalemate, it seems. Everyone loses.

Respect. this is healthy and proper way to interact with businesses.

Well, it's the common rules of supply and demand. Unless the whole deal is to my liking, including peripheral details like delivery platform and DRM, I'm not going for it. Likewise, as long as there is enough demand for the existing deal that they don't see any benefit to offering another deal, nothing will change. In the end, my money (1 potential copy sold) won't make any difference on its own either way.
