It definitely is DRM-free, actually. The receipt verification system is optional and inactive in this case. Remove the _MASReceipt folder from the app and see for yourself that it still works. And while you're poking around inside the app bundle, you might also want to check out the extra content hidden within (script, making of video, etc.)

...wow, I had absolutely no idea that that was possible with apps sold through the MAS. You learn something new every day...

Oh, and the extras are directly accessible in-game through the Extras option in the menubar.
