Time to answer a few personal messages: That's a pity. The Foundation series, both the classic trilogy and the very belated sequel, "Foundation's Edge" (I don't like as much "Foundation and Earth", the fifth and closing book of the series) are among my favorite books of all times. I've lost the count of how many times I've read them. :)

In fact, I chose my username because of a less-known meaning. The Thespians, from the polis (city-state) of Thespiae, were allied with Sparta at the time of the Battle of Thermopylae. They sent their whole army, 700 hoplites (vs. the 300 Spartans -this last number doesn't include the Helots, Sparta state-owned serfs, possibly up to 900 of them-) to fight together with the rest of Greek contingents against the Persian Empire. The Thespians soldiers died to the last man there altogether with the renowned Spartans.

From Wikipedia: "... It seems that the Thespians volunteered to remain as a simple act of self-sacrifice, all the more amazing since their contingent represented every single hoplite the city could muster. This seems to have been a particularly Thespian trait – on at least two other occasions in later history, a Thespian force would commit itself to a fight to the death."

(I love reading about History, as you may have noticed by now.) :D

However, I did know (and like) the double meaning of the word. I think we all are acting for the people around us in a way or another, during our whole life, so we all are a bit of a Thespian ourselves. ;)

I finally managed to find that book about genetically engineered animal tech, it was Sparrowhawk by Thomas A. Easton. I think that's a unique future and one I would have liked to experience.
