Congrats, ellyandroid!!

My dream game would be a Europa Universalis II or III-like. What I want to see is a tactical level, like Total War. And I'd want to see a correct population simulation, with death and birth rates according to politics, war, plagues, migration, etc.
In such a case there would be times when a country couldn't afford an army, maybe just expensive mercenaries, or not even this. Maybe it couldn't colonize because of this.
Congratulations! University life is wonderful, though beware, food can be scarce unless you learn how to cook cheap (Lentils are great, if you know how to spice them properly)
Congratulations
I have an idea that I believe is great, but don't want to give that away. sorry =)
Congratulations! I just got out of high school myself, uni acceptances (hopefully!) come in early January over here. My dream game would be a mix of classic 80's arcade games (simple yet addictive), with 90's RPGs (beautiful stories), and 00's shooters (the good ones, not CoD and its clones).
Not in but congratulations +1
Congrats for your achievement in making it into University, Ellyn! :)

Count me in. Thanks and +1 for your generosity!

Also, a little promotion in the Giveaways' Directory:

My dream game would be a RPG based in the dark and grim lore of Warhammer 40k. The lead character would be a Space Marine Chapter captain (though, he begins as a raw battle-brother in the ranks).

As Space Marines have a really long life span (as the Elves, they live almost for ever, except if killed in battle), the game would show different ages of the Imperium of Mankind, from the Horus Heresy until the game's present (ten thousand years of endless war).

The participation of the protagonist in the numerous events (plenty of twists, countless battles with numerous alien races -as well as with heretics, mutants and Chaos (traitor) Space Marines Legions- would conform the story behind, watched through the eyes of the Chapter captain. :)

hmm, I (barely) remember when I got into university... I wasn't entirely happy as I knew I had to study 5 more years :D

not in but congratulations, if you're going to enjoy your college years just as I have, it will be worth it ;)
Congratulations!!! Enjoy the upcoming ride :-)

(Don't enter me in the contest - just wanted to say congrats!)
Congratulations on making into the university!
Thanks and +1 for your generosity as well.

As for the dream game,
I'd say something along the lines of Final Fantasy 2 (US). Something with a story that really involves the player.

I'm in! :)

Congrats!

My dream game is a tactical close-quarters-combat simulator where you can control individual limbs and objects and plan a sequence of moves on a timeline (dash to location X, while move arm along axis Y, fire pistol at time T...), extrapolate enemy movements based on their current direction and momentum, simulate those movements (kind of like frozen synapse), and then watch them play out. It would be a real-time with pause game, so you can react to enemy tactics by pausing to change your moves, except that your moves are constrained by momentum etc so you can't just change directions mid-jump or execute a different attack immediately. The game would be about anticipating the enemy strategy, using terrain and cover effectively, and dealing with multiple opponents efficiently.
Congratulations!

If GoG had Dr. Brain's Castle Id throw it at you for surviving the exams :)
Congrats on getting in.

My idea (And I really think it could work) is a bit of a non-traditional J-RPG style game. That means magic, upgrading weapons and armor, characters being assigned magics, but it goes deeper than that. The magic system is tied directly into your weapon and armor, and you don't gather a mana pool. You literally take the elements from the source and collect it. It molds itself around your weapons and armor, so saving onto your magic increases your stats, and using magic drops them. You can also actively collect it, for example a water based fighter can gather their element more quickly by staying near a water source, a fire user can spend a little magic to start a long lasting fire and provide a quick boost in energy. There would also be a weather system, weakening some characters and strengthening others as well as changing affects of some spells (Raining weather weakens fire gathering and earth gathering, but strengthens water. Earth abilities would be changed to a mix of mud and rock. Dry weather causes fires to start more easily. Cold weather turns water to snow and then Ice, which boosts attack but reduces defense and reduce magics)

Aside from this system, every character and every spell can combine into unique attacks, and obviously there'd be be more than water, earth and fire. When I was younger my favorite PS1 game was Legend of Dragoon, so there could be Lightning (Or it could be fire's alternative since water would be ice in cold weather), light, dark, wind, metal, chronos (Time), so forth, depending on how far you chose to go with it. And the story would not have your team of characters being the only people in the world with the same abilities, but your team would be the ones who decided to fight to the game's end.
Congrats!

My dream game is so cool that it still hasn't turned up in my mind, but it probably is based on a really simple but yet fun gameplay. And it will sell millions and make me filthy rich.
Congratulations!!!!! Getting into university is one of the best feelings ever. It means 4 years of work have paid off! I am really happy for you! Which school did you get into?

My dream game would probably be a cross between Baulders Gate 2 and Icewind Dale 2. I love isometric view, the beautiful backgrounds and multitude of side quests. I also love how in BG2 the NPC's really have personality and the dialogue that comes from them. I also liked BG2 because you were strong enough to not die instantly (looking at you BG) but not so strong that you instantly kill things that aren't bosses (Throne of Baahl).

The other option for me would be a remake of Imperialism 2 or Mater of Orion2/Master of Magic. I love the 4x games.
That would be amazing. I love TWOT series. I think it would be cool to also be a minor character as well, accompanying the different main characters on their journey and having to do things like holding off fades for the main character to escape, or recruiting for Matt's Red Hand.

Congratulations!

Whilst I always enjoyed games like freelancer and the x series, I always found the lack of planetary exploration to be a downside. Games like Mass effect attempted to plug the gap but ultimately fell a bit flat at giving life to the other world away from the main plot.
So what I'd love to develop is a sandbox feel rpg/space sim with a strong theme of planetary exploration and survival in an otherwise unforgiving galaxy. The latter part would most likely work best if you had different classes of spacefarer to choose from / create from humble scavengers to the might of some military force.
