Starcraft 2 is soon to be released, but how many of you remember the original starcraft. Not that one from 1998. It seems that Activision/Blizzard released a starcraft game already in the year 1984. Check it out if dont remember it.

Nice try but must be fake.
The sound is from a DSP or some yamaha chipset, or at least emulates one.
The animation is too fluid, CGA games did not use orange as one of their colours unless it was an orange monitor, not sure if they did even then or if you had to use a Hercules solution.
Still, good job.

That's a parody. I gathered that just from the URL of the source being "humoruniv". Blizzard wasn't founded until 1991.
Mildly funny though.
Not a bad fake. :D
Blizzard Entertainment: making the same damn games since 1984!

Yea, that is before they updated the engine for Starcraft. The original idea / version / thing was based on Warcraft 2's engine.
I missed that special headache you get from 8-bit sound. Nice parody, the nuke strike was a huge lol moment.
it is kind of cool. but that interface was designed for a top-down viewpoint, it would be clunky as hell from this perspective.

The problem with the eighties was they were still experimenting with these interfaces, and they put too much effort into music to really do a thorough work. They were just "yeah, this thing could work, in a pinch, but players will be too impressed with the beeping sound to notice it's shortcomings". Also, now a zerg rush has a 2x efficiency modifier.
