GameRager: I wish you guys could implement a home base mechanic where maybe you had a home base to go to between major quests or even one you could buy/rent later on to hang out in similar top the Brotherhood base in Tactics....where you coudl stock your extra gear, maybe shop from a merchant, just chill...etc.

MrWilli: Well i'm in the writing department and as of right most people are working on the engine and GUI so right now we don't have a lot of info. Sorry i don't have more info for you.
I know just making suggestions. ;)

:D
Okay but I could see if someone bring that up in the meeting tonight. (I won't be able to make it cause of family going out to eat :P)

Lots of chances to find pre-war tech would be nice...like old weapons, maybe machines to fix and manipulate as part of missions, some rare encounters or side missions like some of the cool stuff from the FO series. :)
rare encounters are going to happen, old machines are in, there is going to be some assault rifles, shotguns and the like, but no heavy stuff like machine guns I think. But PARPG is going to be really heavy on survival if everything seems to go through. And side quests will be there, some small stuff, and some big stuff. But we are going to try to make every quest have a way to end without combat, if I am right.
I hate necroing my own thread but I want this projec to stay fresh in the minds of everyone.
Stoic is too embarrassed to even be embarrassed. Currently my RPG skills include putting question marks into blank spaces on a grid downloaded from google images using MSpaint.

Good luck on your project!
Already know about this months ago... (or was it last year?). I look forward to this. Nice one...
I use the power of revive on this thread.

We need programmers who are dedicated, have time, and know how to work with FIFE engine.

I do not know how to program ,but I do have a friend that does, I will be more than happy to show this to him. I love PAPRPG,s personally so I will do what little I can to help!
Damn, you should have hit up OSCON 2011 for Python devs. Maybe see if there's a hashtag on Twitter for OSCON and Python (probably not just OSCON, too broad, besides you want to avoid Perl devs at all costs *shudder*).

Interesting.
Will the RPG have more than 1 race option? Such as bio-weapons/super soldiers, 'rad freaks', or the like?

That was my biggest complaint about the Fallout series >.>

Since New Vegas is the first game where you don't play a vault dweller I'm not sure how that would have worked into the storyline. I presume they were saving that whole mechanic for Van Burren, obviously that means no joy for us, every Fallout MMO since has also been canceled.

No. This takes in a very hard-core setting reality, with nearly all enemies being bears, wolves, bandits, and the like. Nothing like fallout except it takes place in a Post-apocalypse setting.
