MichaelFurlong: Wen't down to see the flotilla, didn't see much, Hammersmith (the arse end) was sparsely populated, once I got close to Battersea, it became too packed to see anything, then it started to rain and everyone got soaked : /

To all the wankers who stayed at home, I envy you : / Could have watched some Game of Thrones with my GF instead.
I miss the festivals around Korea and Thailand, those last for days so everyone gets a chance to see.
I found the journalist comments on the flotilla quite funny . "never seen before". True enough, there was no such flotilla for the previous Diamond Jubilee ( 1897) . Just a fleet being reviewed at Spithead. 21 battleships, 53 cruisers and their screens of lighter units.

I'd have been much happier if the proceession included a wide variety of naval ships. . . Not that I would have had the chance to view them. Damn crowds : /

Gonna go back into London today and have a look around buckingham and the houses of parliament. If it isn't too crowded I may be able to see the procession. I don't care much for the queen, but I would like to see the regalia.
