I'm Indian so any indian food dishes are perfectly fine by me. Glad to see we got a few other fans here too. Trying to get some co-workers of mine to hit up an Indian buffet tonight. Plus I'm visiting my parents this weekend and since mom is the best cook I know, I'm gonna eat well :)!

My favorite when dining out has always been Aloo Gobi though, potatoes and cauliflower.
My favorite in India is cholle battura or any street food really.
And my favorite at home is anything mom makes.

Thanks for the giveaway and good luck all!
Do mushrooms count? Because funguses are more closely related to animals than they are to plants...

There are quite a few varieties that I like, especially fried. For example these:

Thespian*: Thanks and +1 for your generosity, undeadcow!

Pasta salad, but without olives. ;)

Please, count me in for Recsam511.
thanks mate! :)
Didn't know this game was on here.

Okay, I suppose that coleslaw from KFC was okay.
Due to an allergy to fish, I realize some things listed here are NOT truly vegitarian, as they contain anchovies (fish).

Many salad dressings contain them, suchas Ceasar and Itailian. Just a thing to look at if you weren't aware.

+1 to you, and though I'd enjoy the games, I'm going to let someone else have a shot. Many blessings to you!

Thank you.
Let me say thanks for the offering, undeadcow. No cows will be harmed in the writing of this post.

A couple of my absolute favourite dishes, vegetarian or otherwise, are okra & potato stew or simple butter-cooked steamed broccoli. I could gobble that stuff 'till the wafer-thin mint.

As to an entry, please accept mine, in favour of Recsam511 this time :-)

Thanks also to htown1980 for the informative post. I've never heard of haloumi but will seek it out.

htown1980: Not in but have been vegetarian for many years now. I would say some of my favourite recipes are:

Channa Masala (chickpea curry) - super easy to make - onion, can or two of chickpeas, can or two of tomatoes, add pumpkin and/or capscium if you like. Add spices (turmeric, ground coriander, ground chili, salt, ground cumin). cook for 20 minutes. add garam masala, cook for 10 more minutes. Serve with rice or couscous.

Roast Cauliflower Pasta - roast some cauliflower (after seasoning), cook some pasta. cook some garlic and rosemary, add cream, add some parmesan. combine the pasta, the sauce and the cauliflower. add some more parmesan and cracked pepper. voila!

Haloumi salad - couscous, capsicum, spring onions, coriander, haloumi (cooked). mix it up. dressing is lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, lemon rind, i think that's it. add the dressing to the salad, stir, eat, delicious.

Anything with haloumi is good - put it on pizzas, burgers, etc.

I good easy stir fry sauce to go with your favourite veggies and tofu is just a combo of sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, pepper, throw in some veggie oyster sauce if you wish. delicious.

So much good vego food out there. Mexican, asian, indian, pasta, pizza, etc.

I'm hungry.

+1 for giveaway
Yay, okra wins the day! Thanks, undeadcow, I sincerely hope Recsam enjoys the real cowboy life! Also, I promise to raise a few skellies next time I pass through the cow level with my necromancer ;)
Your luck is changing Spinorial, congrats Recsam, and thanks to undeadcow.
The concept of a vegetarian dish doesn't appeal to me.

Congrats Recsam.
