I have an awesome cold, I can't go to work, and I'm stuck at home. Generally this would be cause for celebration. Save the cold part, in any case, symptoms include, headache, runny nose, sore throat, and a general mucky feeling.

I am glad I have a working internet computer to bide the time I'll be away from work. I don't usually get sick, but when I do, whoa boy is it bad. Well, I also have GOG here and some other old games I'll be playing to help lighten the mood. For instance a friend lent me his old copy of Conquest: Frontier Wars, a pretty decent RTS.

That aside I could always use more games to play, so I will now open the floor to suggestions. I shall note I typically enjoy RTS/strategy, FPS, simulation, (flying, management), and lastly every once and awhile a good RPG. Choices should be as close to free as possible as I've got bills to pay, being a teacher sucks sometimes.

Anyway, if nothing else stop by and say hello. I'll be making pies later, everyone enjoys pies.

A poor teacher with a rhinovirus? Man, that sucks! I got sick while in the army and turned out it was a rhinovirus, I never felt as crappy as I felt then.

Hey I know, let me know if there's a game on GOG you absolutely must have and I'll buy it for you! Think of it as a "get well present". My personal recommendations: Fallout 2, Disciples 2, Empire Earth or Gothic 2 :)

Wha??!

I'm truly sorry, I am completely amazed at your generosity. Thank you! Expect a PM shortly with the details. I shall make a special Pie just for you!

That aside, I managed to sleep a little. Woke up in a weird position, otherwise nothing to report aside from the usual.
The cold hit me this year for 2 weeks straight. I hadn't dealt with that in 5 years. Hopefully you have a speedy recovery. How about Team Fortress 2? That's about as free as you could want and buying one (inexpensive) item can unlock a lot of things.

Get well soon!

Edit: Also, welcome to GOG. Just noticed you registered this month. :)

It's a posh word for the common cold! It can be annoying if it keeps you from doing what you want to do or stops you from working, perhaps if you work around children like the OP.

Get well soon mate!
Raise hand anyone, who remembered Blackstone Chronicles
Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I'm feeling a bit better than I was earlier. My headache is at least subdued, not gone sadly.

I shall have to look up TF2, hopefully this laptop can run it alright, I wouldn't mind playing it again since I used to play it on a friends machine a long while ago.
I must advise an immediate and lengthy course of chicken soup!
I really hope for your sake it isn't a Man Cold :/

Hope you get over it soon!
Get well! I have been sick every year since I was a small child, so I know how you feel. But you know what? The first several days are quite awful when you can literally do nothing, but afterwards there will be some time when you are not "fully recovered" but can already do "fun" stuff - read, game, watch tv, listen to music. :)
Try crab soup. But make sure the ingredient is fresh and not too much seasoning.
