The Rise and Fall of Supersymmetry

I won't pretend that I understood all of this, I do know that a lot of physic vulgarization articles, books and documentaries that I consumed in my life have said that supersymmetry is quite an important theory. Advocate and opponents of String theory agree on the subject of Supersymmetry. To think that it might be wrong is mind blowing and very exciting too.

We could be at the dawn of a new Physic revolution.

Note that I didn't learn anything beyond Newtonian Physic when I was in school so it is not unlikely that I'm miss-understanding the whole thing or that I'm not learned enough to see flaws in the articles.
Thanks for this, I need a bit of time to read it, though ;)
Yes, a lot of physicists are very disappointed these days because the LHC hasn't found any evidence for supersymmetry. Supersymmetry is not dead, but low-energy supersymmetry as a solution to the hierarchy problem probably is. Many scientists have spent decades doing research in supersymmetry phenomenology, so to say that this is a letdown is an understatement.
