bansama: I'm surprised no one has posted a picture of a "thread necro" or whatever it is kids these days do when an old thread is bumped up...

GOG should perhaps have a feature that automatically locks threads that haven't been responded to in six months.

I know quite a few forums do that, and it doesn't work well. Say I post something about buying Desert Bus, and I say it's pretty good. Then next year some guy buys it and posts in that thread, talking about. It's a lot better than having multiple threads about it just because the forum locks up the thread because it's not responded to.

The way I see it: if the original poster hasn't responded to the thread in six months, they probably don't want to continue that discussion. Equally, receiving replies to comments you made many months ago could be annoying to both OP and those who reply alike.
A new thread started by someone who still has interest in discussing the topic not only makes sense but is much better etiquette. If GOG are worried about too many threads being displayed in each forum they could easily implement a maximum of five pages, masking the excess. But that's up to them.

Here it is. Did we forget anything else?

Lofl, very clever, if a little geeky.

Un_Oso: The replies in this thread make my point for me. Gog is gone. Gog forsaken. Just another gog in the internetz stupid machine, over 9 trillion served!

GOG will never fall if it has US to back it up.

Wow I knew things were getting bad but I never expected racists to post their hate so openly! Hibernation, human, have you heard of it? Some species such as the noble Ursa Ruthless, have hybernation cycles lasting longer than six months.
How would you like it if you made a thread and woke up the next morning to find it locked? "Well if they haven't posted in six hours I guess they just aren't interested in discourse". Yes what a wonderful way to run a forum!
I face this kind of discrimination and ignorance all the time and people wonder why I like to devour human children. Can you say "product of his environment"?

This thread's two years old. Even in bear terms that's some serious oversleeping.
Oh and don't eat too many kids. They'll give you diabetes.
