triock: Thanks for your generosity Dischord, NR for obvious reason. :D
Thanks for your understanding the other day, when I thought you were joking instead of requesting a game.

Best of luck in all!

Dischord: Great giveaway on the feast of the epiphany, thanks OP!

Will add a phrase: Wish in one hand, shit in the other, and see which one fills up first.

Fill hands with an additional Sid Meyer's Alpha Centauri code:

595E-KC5V-5MDP-6A5X

Happy holiday to those that celebrate it, and good luck to all!
+1, not redeemed, but this would be a perfect moment for: A caballo regalado no le mires el diente (Don't look a gift horse in the mouth) ;)

edit - and I'm wearing my Wise men gift after spending the day with the uncles.

...and remember before you eat or try and wash it off!

Thanks Dischord - redeemed!

And thanks to ISC too - really interesting twist (I like those kinda giveaways!) - actually gave my parents summat to talk about (both very old now) when I quizzed them for old Scots wisdom (though half of what they came out with was unpublishable for all sorts of reasons! Heheh!

Congrats to all the winners also!

Nice to see so many from Spain!

One of my Christmas gifts was 2 bottles of 20 year old sherry from Sandeman :-)

park_84: Nice. I'm in for Alpha Centauri or Master of Magic.

And the saying... Tiran más dos tetas que dos carretas, which could be roughly translated as the will of a man can be really powerful under certain circumstances, or something like that :p
I was just checking the sayings for the heck of things and... I loved the translation.

So, in return, I wanted to share a funny old saying of ours.

"Before god was god and boulders were boulders, Basques were already Basques".

You may be wondering why I put the saying in English instead of in Basque. Well, the reason is simple: there's no such saying in Basque. I never heard it at home, and neither has any friend of mine. I only heard it for the first time after I started traveling, and I appear to find it on almost any Basque-related information website in English (example). I have no idea how it became so widespread, but I burst laughing every time I see it.
Congrats to the winners, and thanks and +1 for your generosity, ISC! (and Dischord)
