Hi guys.
My name is Alan, but my friend call me nesmoth, been working with illustration and multimedia for about 8 years, and 3d modeling something like 2 or 3 years. Now I have began studying Unity to see if can do some things with games.
Would like to know if someone could give some tips about level development, im just asking for links to good tutorials, or a couple of tips, that would be nice.
thks in advance.
PD: sorry about the writing, English isn't my native language.
Well Gamasutra isn't so much a place for tutorials, but it has some very interesting articles and so called postmortems of games.
In a game postmortem the developers themselves talk about making the game and what went wrong, what went right, things like that.
Not very many of us are games developers (I develop software, but not games). I don't know how much help we can be as a community.

But since you already know art I would suggest you download Alice (alice.org) and find some of the free lesson courses. These can be done on your own and most are primarily designed to teach graphic arts students how do develop/animate their work as well as a basic understanding of the black arts of programming:)

Really that's about the best thing I can offer you. Oh yeah, don't let them kill your dreams, go indie, even if it means you work for yourself and keep a decent paying day job.
