EDIT: Ok, I found one that seems to work (Joy2Key), but for some reason the directional pad and the left thumbstick both show up as the same, I.E, if I map directional pad up, if I move the left thumbstick up it will do the same thing, and the right thumbstick and the square/circle/x/triangle.

I am presuming it is something to do with the drivers as in Controller Manager thing in windows XP it shows when I press directional up it highlights the same button as thumbstick up.

EDIT2: Since I deleted the bit above, it is a Tomee Sixaxis PS3 controller.
EDIT3: Tomee Sixaxis WIRED PS3 controller.

sloganvirst: Bump.

Please?
I don't think it's that people don't want to help you. I just think that they, like me, have no clue what you're talking about.

Ah, now I at least understand your question ;-)

I can't help you, since I have no experience (yet) with connecting a PS3 controller to a PC, but there have been discussions here on the subject before, so someone probably has a suggestion.

I beleive my biggest problem is that it is a 3rd party controller so not all the normal PS3 drivers and stuff work with it. I was just looking into normal gamepad mapping instead of CMK, but most are either need compiling or just for keyboard/mouse, not both. :-(

^Ignore this guy ;)

I remember someone asking this exact same question and was told to download some kind of drivers that allowed the Bluetooth in the PS3 controller to be read by the computer or something.

Sorry, (forgot to mention it), but it is a wired controller, so it don't use bluetooth
Tried MotionInJoy? That one only supports wired connections directly - I use it for my Sony SIXAXIS controller and it works perfectly.

No, I think you misunderstand me - I got it working, shows up and found the drivers my itself - my problem is that the buttons are synced to the thumbsticks - like the Triangle, Square, Circle and X are if I press X it is the same as pushing the thumbstick and, and same with the directional pad.

Seems like a hardware limitation of the pad to me, it is a 3rd party PS3 controller and is probably not designed to work on a PC/Windows.
Maybe this has some useful info that you can use.

Hm.. it stated on the packaging it worked on PS3 and PC, and when I first plugged it in it found the drivers for itself, and it shows as Generic USB controller or something like that.

All other buttons work flawlessly in Joy2Key...

If it is just a hardware flaw then I can put up with it, I was just hoping there was another driver that might fix it.

I tried Motionjoy before, but it didn't even register as plugged in, probably because it is 3rd party. :(
