Do you think it will come here?

I have never played it but I understand multiplayer is a big part of it. I suspect that that might be an issue when trying to make it DRM-free. Maybe not though, I don't know anything about that kind of stuff.

The biggest reason I don't think we will see it on gog any time soon is the recent giveaway of Torchlight. I would have thought it would have made sense to give Torchlight away as a promotion relating to bringing Torchlight 2 to gog, and the fact that it has been given away for something unrelated means that probably isn't going to happen.

What do you think? Is it coming?

Is the importance of the multiplayerness a problem with making it drm-free or am I just speaking out my ass?

The multiplayer shouldn't have any issue regarding DRM as far as I know as they made a big deal about how they wanted to keep LAN play and all that as opposed to Diablo 3's always online, even for single player.

I think it will arrive, it just might take some time.

Not sure it was that big a part of it. It is still a moddable single player game mostly. Werent the devs thinking of a Torchlight mmo at some point tho?

You mean before they screwed everything up to satisfy a minority and put a limit of 10mods and to play multiplayer, you both must have same mods. The game was great until they released the editor and ruined multiplayer and single player.

Yes, its was, but Runic Games says there are no plans for Torchlight MMO.

Sometime down the line, I bet TL2 will hit GOG.
At least for the SP campaign, hopefully.
Whether it'll support Online Play fully, another story entirely.

I have TL2 on Steam - and yeah, it's awesome.
Hope it hits GOG, one day.
