Hello all,

Some of you might remember me from awhile back when I put up an RPG Kickstarter here. The folk here have all been very kind and helpful, so I wanted to share my latest game project.

It is an HTML5-based top-down arcade shoot-'em'-up that you play from the comfort of your own browser for free. It features tons of zombies and other monsters for you to blast away with a variety of weapons. I am using Box2D physics so you can do a lot of interesting things, like blocking doors with furniture, blasting through walls, using fridges to take cover from enemy projectiles, or putting up barricades.

If you want to check out the KS project, head on over:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1726132015/tough-to-kill

There are two videos to check out to see how the gameplay is coming along, including one showing how the Box2D physics tend to work. \

You don't need to back to show your support, just help spread a kind word!
Thanks a bunch and enjoy!
Looks like you're damn near there already. Good luck getting the remainder! :D

How did your previous project do?
Looks interesting. If that use of the environment in combat is implemented well, the game will probably have decent sales.

While it should probably be made clearer sooner, the game is a free browser game.

Oh... Missed that part. That's a good thing though, nothing has more succes than free stuff:P
Thanks for the support and kind words guys. It means a lot.

The environment and physics you see in the demonstration video (the 2nd video in the middle, not the top one), are closer to what to expect, so its applications are generally up to you. You can put up a barricade and reinforce it by pushing a bed against it and it will hold for a good while.

I have only a few monsters thus far programmed in, but one is sort of like the Tank from Left4Dead, except this guy will smash through walls and barricades like nothing, so you can't get -too- comfortable trying to hole up in one spot as time goes on.

@Navagon: Aleph did quite well, reaching a fair bit over 400%. It is in Beta testing now and coming along quite well still.

Anyways, thanks again for the kind words. If you have any suggestions or feedback based on what you saw, feel free to let me know. Thanks!
I've updated the main video: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1726132015/tough-to-kill

It shows extended gameplay and the physics as I have fixed them up a bit and added mass to the objects. Also, very destructible environments, and more dynamic spawn system. As far as KS goes, there is an additional reward as well, a special exclusive version of the game.

Again, if you like this project, you don't need to back it to show your support - just like it or share the link, it would do wonders to help! Thank you kindly.
I'll be honest as I can be:

THE HELL IS THIS ABOMINATION?

Such games can be made in a week in game creator tools.

Blah... Next time I will see kickstarters for flash memory games? I don't like the newest trend "I make games so I want MONIES" or "This is my first project and i want MONIES"

Sorry man.. this looks for me like a IT project in high school.

But it's good that you're trying to do something.

$20 to get the full game? Game looks interesting enough, but I don't I'd pay more than a fiver for it.
The full game is free for everyone regardless. The KS Exclusive version is just that, an added bonus for people showing their support is all. Everyone gets full access to the game when its completed. I'll be sure to post a link when its finished!
Aleph looks pretty cool. I would have liked to back that. Tough to Kill ... hmm, I'm not sure I'd back it, but the physics engine shows potential. Maybe you can use it for a future game? Regardless, I wish you all the best!
Wait, you live in Hadley? I'm really close to you. :D Don't have any money to throw up for backing, but best of luck getting the funding you need. :)
Thanks Lowyhong. I will be posting in the future when Aleph is ready to play.

@Gazoinks: How close are we talking? You're not right outside my window are ya? :)

I added a playable demo to the main project page, if you guys want to try out the Alpha version of it for yourselves. Keep in mind it is still being worked on and isn't refined:

No, but I live in Easthampton, which is pretty close.

I'll try the demo later and let ya know what I think. :)
My sister lives in Easthampton and pretty much runs the Eastworks building where they had that big web-comic con thing. Perhaps you know of it?
