Picked up this game a little while ago, seems to got some promise.
Anyone here that plays it?

Got promise, but early alpha yet, so I have had some anoyances, but that one seem to be fixed in next realease.

You build a city for heroes (Heroes come in next update) and base your economy(?) on it.
In current version, try to keep a stockpile of food. ;)

Heh, the demo is pretty decent. I'm still trying to figure out how to place a carpenter's bench, though. ;p

You must place the Carpentry zone first and place the carpenters bench on it.
(and I think you actually have to have walls placed around the spot before you can place the zone)..

I saw this on Gamersgate too. I am interested in it, but am wary of pre-ordering games. Maybe I'll give the demo a shot first.

Is it a casual game, or does it have a complex layer under the simplistic graphics?

So I gave the demo a spin for 5 minutes (going to bed soon), and I really wasn't enthralled by the presentation of the game. For some unexplainable reason, the characters' lack of animations - and their appearances - scare me, and the sounds! Good lord the sound of killing animals made me jump, especially since I jacked up the volume.

Is the alpha anything like the demo? I hope not. Heck, it's going to take a lot to impress me after playing the demo. I may give it another go later though.

Seems the part about lack of animation is just because its not done. or so I gather from the forums..
But I got to say, I do look forward to the game going over to a more polished state.

Hardest game ever to Google. Is there an official, non Gamersgate website? Or a demo? $12 is a bit much.
