Well he was finished in that movie but there would be several ways to bring him back quite easily. Of course I am just biased in that I think Warner is just great in everything he does and more Warner is always a good thing.

Ice Age 3 and Monsters vs. Aliens were neat in 3D. They were throwaway movies anyway so might as well enjoy the experience.
Up was only good in 3D because you could hide the fact that you were a grown man crying over cartoon characters you hardly knew. Other than that, 3D wasn't worth it.

This. It's a fantastic game, with a great story. When the first rumors of a Tron sequel surfaced, I was really hoping they'd base the movie on the game. Sadly, this seems not to be the case.

There is still the slight possibility that the movie will take place after and reference the events in the game, making it officially part of the "canon", which wouldn't be so bad. The basic premise of the movie seems to revolve around the search for a long missing Kevin Flynn, which, if you remember, was one of the things mentioned in the e-mail messages found throughout the game (he walked away from ENCOM to work on something big, was never seen or heard from again).

Definitely looking forward to seeing this movie in the 3D imax.
