I recently made the purchase of an external 3.5" floppy drive with the intention of backing up my old discs. I didn't realize until today that that meant that I had a decent chance of getting a game working that I hadn't played in a long time. That game would be Outpost by Sierra. It, for some reason that I can't remember, requires the usage of a floppy disc called the Launch Control Disk, in addition to the CD.
Unfortunately, hit a bit of a stumbling block.
In trying to install the game, before I can get to anything beyond the initial screen, I get hit with a message saying that Outpost requires Windows 3.1 or higher.
Naturally, I've tried running Setup in Windows 95 Compatibility mode in XP, but it still isn't working. Anyone had a similar issue and found a way around this roadblock?
