I remember playing a fantasy-type game when I was a kid, but I remember very little about the game except for two things. The first thing I remember is one of the enemies which I'm pretty sure were called ghouls looked kind of like monkeys with terrible teeth and the second thing I remember is the opening cut-scene showing a hero running and then stumbling on a camp of these ghouls and one of them licks the blade of their weapon. I honestly don't expect anyone to be able to find this game because my memory of what was in thee game is not helpful, but I would really like to know if anyone has an idea of what I might be looking for.

Sorry it doesn't ring a bell but I'm sure someone here will. That's the beauty of this forum, even obscure things come to light with many eyes.

Platformer? Real time strategy?
Was the cutscene animated or a slideshow?
Was it a PC or a console game?

I'm 23 yesterday, I hate to hazard a guess but I'd say 9 to 12 maybe even younger. I'm fairly certain it was PC and the cut-scene was animated, it might have been a real time strategy, but I vaguely remember RPG elements, but I'm not sure as I said my memory is not great.

It reminds me of "Die by the Sword" because that game is full of running into camps of axe/sword wielding beasties. Some of them resemble monkeys, some resemble Jaba's guards from Jedi.
