spinefarm: Ubisoft, the notorious publisher known for creating the always online DRM, has recently announced some good news. They have decided that for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, they will only be using the one time online activation then no longer need a connection for the PC version.

I guess Ubisoft are comming to their right mind...
That's better than e.g. always online of course, but it isn't really "one time activation", unless Ubisoft really believes people never re-install games. So calling it "one time activation" is misleading, in a same way like it would be, if you needed to activate your games only once... whenever you decide to run the game. Hey, thats only one time, per play, right? :)
On top of that, apparently that is additional DRM on top of the DRM it will have already from the online publisher, like Steam, So it will have the UPlay DRM, and e.g. the Steam DRM. Twice the DRM, twice the fun, right?
