From the Midway Games wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midway_Games ):

"In February 2009, Midway Games filed in Delaware for bankruptcy.[6] Warner Bros. purchased most of Midway's assets (including Mortal Kombat), and Midway settled with Mark Thomas to relinquish his Midway stock and debt.[7][8] The U.S. District Court in Chicago dismissed a lawsuit alleging that former officers of Midway misled shareholders while selling their own stock.[9] In 2010, the bankruptcy court dismissed claims against Redstone concerning his sale of the company to Thomas and approved Midway's plan of liquidation.[10] Midway terminated the public registration of its securities in June 2010.[11] In March 2011, the court dismissed a lawsuit challenging the sale of assets to Warner. As of 2014, a liquidating trust continues to collect and distribute any proceeds and other assets to Midway's remaining creditors and pursues avoidance actions on behalf of the creditors"

Under the Unreal Tournament 3 wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unreal_Tournament_3 ), it shows Midway Games still as a publisher. But what I'm curious about is if anyone knows if this is out of date information, or if Unreal Tournament 3 is still in limbo between publishers?
No limbo at all. The game is being sold normally on and [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/13210/?snr=1_7_15__13]Steam by Epic Games.
Epic Games still own the franchise, afaik.

If you're wondering why it isn't on GOG - I can imagine that it's some Steam exclusivity deal. At some point the "Black Edition" was introduced which you could even get by redeeming older UT3 serial keys on Steam which was kinda surprising (after all, those keys were printed a while before UT3 appeared on Steam). I'm afraid they don't plan to bring that edition to other distributors.

"Ahem"

Yeah, it says "other DRM", though. I presumed it would require Steam or at least come with a key redeemable on Steam. Yeah, "other distributors" wasn't the right term, I actually meant distributors that don't provide Steam keys at all (which by now probably only means GOG with even Origin selling Steam keys).

Epic doesn't seem interested in releasing most of their backlog on GOG anyway, unfortunately.

Personally I was thinking of Jill of the Jungle.

Dang, you just reminded me that Jazz Jackrabbit is still missing from GOG. Why did you do this to me?

If Epic Game is selling it elsewhere under their own name I'd assume it has a good possibility of coming here, seeing all the others are here in the series. I've also read that there was an update a while ago that removed the DRM. If anyone can confirm this that would be great. I can't find the source I read a while ago regarding it's DRM removal.

Because I'm an anus. But I kind of think maybe GoD/Take 2 has the Jazz rights since they published Jazz 2.

Epics got a killer back catalog. Weirdly they seem to act like they are ashamed of those games and only want to be known for their shooters.

One studios trash could easily be another studio's treasure. If that was true they should give them up to people who will spruce them up and re-release them.
