Hello,
I just ran a search but was unable to open any of the older threads due to internal server error.

So here is my question: May I use the avatars that come with the games in any public forum for my private account or only in the gog.com forum? What is the licensing of the avatars? Free for private use? I really like some of them but of course I would not want to infringe on the rights of the game companies that I owe so many hours of fun to.

They are yours to do with as you please :)

I think you can use those as you please. The contrary would be extremely puzzling.

Thank you. Just being curious, what does that mean in licensing terminology? Creative Commons? Public Domain?

My bet would be Fair Use. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use
